Sometimes, your bathroom just needs a little sprucing up. When the budget is small, never underestimate the power of a little paint and a few pieces of new hardware. So, here’s what I had to start with:

Blech!! Sorry for the toilet shot. Eww.

Gotta love the gold hardware.
Now, for the makeover reveal…

Be inspired.
You. Can. Do. It!!!
Supplies:
New faucet
New (above sink) light
Cabinet/drawer hardware
Paint
Typically, I enjoy tackling the big furniture. My garage, a.k.a workshop, is full of those pieces. But when your day job rudely interferes with your hobby and you are managing a family, you always seem to just run out of time.
So, I did a really small project with my sister to satisfy my DIY cravings.

We bought these with the intent to place them in the kids playroom, either to frame baby pictures or kids’ art. As you can see, they were not pretty, rather very run-of-the-mill frames from a thrift store.
One was so faux, shiny wood, it made me turn my nose up and shake my head everytime I looked at it.

But with a little primer and some paint, ugly things can be made over quite easily…

What small project can you tackle in your “spare time”?
Supplies used:
1) Primer
2) Paint
3) Brushes
4) Decorative buttons to add to finished frame
5) Scrapbook paper
